Humane Borders Volunteers: Who We Are
Literally thousands of people make up Humane Borders' huge cadre of volunteers. Some regularly contribute dozens of hours a month in time and skills, while others offer help when and where their time and expertise can be of use. We are a faith-based humanitarian group, and many of our volunteers are active in local faith communities. Others dedicated to the cause play important roles such as fundraising, networking, media interviews, group presentations and other activities. All are welcome.

The vast majority of volunteers take part in the maintenance of our water stations in the desert, because that is where the most help is needed, and that is how most volunteers believe they can have the most direct impact onn trying to prevent more migrant deaths. On any given trip, our trucks may carry youth ministry volunteers from an out-of-state college, a Tucson taxi driver or store owner, a retired Arizona State Police officer, artists from Bisbee or a pastor from Phoenix. (We could go on here, but you get the point.)
